Stitches, the Terror of Darkshire, is a melee Tank hero from the Warcraft universe. Take care when traversing the shadowed trails of Duskwood... Ever since Abercrombie the Embalmer unleashed his abomination upon Darkshire, Stitches has wandered the road aimlessly, hungering for the flesh of low level Alliance players.

Stitches is a Tank who wants to isolate distant enemies away from their team.

Background

This section concerns content exclusive to the Warcraft universe.

Stitches is an abomination found in Duskwood. Abominations are twisted, mutilated undead creatures comprised of multiple dead limbs and body parts from many different corpses. They are enormous warriors, scarred by loose stitchings and putrid, open sores. They love to carve flesh and tear their enemies apart. The slow-moving and dull-witted abominations constantly drip blood and smell like disease-ridden slaughterhouses. They carry large cleavers into combat and wield various sickle-bladed hooks on their disproportionate limbs.

Almost all abominations lack any real intelligence, having an I.Q. closest to that of an ogre on average. Abominations outwardly appear strangely joyful due to their absent-minded expressions and mannerisms, though this is most likely due to their low level of mental capacity. Like their undead cousins, abominations lust for flesh and are known to eat not only the living but the dead as well.

Abercrombie the Embalmer created Stitches as a "gift" for Lord Ello Ebonlocke, the mayor of Darkshire. Setting out from a shack near the Raven Hill Cemetery, Stiches marched through Duskwood and killed all the Night Watch guards he encountered on his way to Darkshire.

Gameplay

Stitches is a low-mobility Tank, capable of pulling distant Heroes to him with Hook. Stitches has a lot of Health, and a powerful self-sustain with Devour. He works best with Heroes who can follow up Hook with strong crowd control, which will help to secure picks throughout the game.

• Stitches is voiced by Isaac C. Singleton Jr.
• Stitches was one of the 18 heroes revealed at BlizzCon 2013.
• Stitches had a skin that was Diablo-themed, but this was rethought as it was too similar to The Butcher.
• NECA revealed the Heroes of the Storm Stitches action figure at Toy Fair NY 2015.
• Other than Cho'gall (who counts as two heroes), Stitches has the highest health of any hero in the game.
• Stiches is the Announcer of Pull Party.
• There's a talent that the developers have always wanted to do called Fishing Hook. They wanted to be able to throw an invisible Hook out and at the end of it make a Regeneration Globe. If an enemy hero were to touch or pick up that regen globe he would be pulled to Stitches. So he would literally be fishing with a fishing hook. They never implemented it but they talked about it a whole bunch as you don't really want your Tank to be sitting there doing nothing while the Hook is sitting there with a regen globe.
