Sentinels are mercenaries found on Hanamura Temple. Sentinels appears in the form of a giant sword-wielding samurai omnic utilized by the Shimada clan. This singular unit pushes down a lane and will occasionally perform a powerful sweep attack that tears through minions. Sentinels, like Boss Camps, cannot be captured by using abilities like "Bribe" and are Unstoppable. The Sentinel gives 250 XP + 15/min for capturing the camp.

The Samurai will cast his Samurai Swing ability every 8s, casting the ability for 1.5s and telegraphing the area before doing a large quantity of damage to any enemy within the 4m semicircle. Thus, the primary value of the Sentinel is the structure damage it can do, typically while both teams are busy with the payload.[1]
Common Camp Capture Timings[ | ]
- Hanamura: These powerful mercenaries can do some real damage to a lane if left uncontested, so try to time your capture for right before escorting the payload in the opposite direction. This can force your enemy to either split, giving you big time payload value, or to ignore the Sentinel and risk significant damage to their structures.[2]

- When Hanamura was released, the Sentinels acted like Support Camp: Captured Sentinels did not travel down a lane to attack enemies. Instead, captured Sentinels dropped a consumable Pickup called "Biotic Emitter". Biotic Emitters healed all allied Heroes.
