Raven Court

Raven Court was one of the first and most ancient realms pulled into the Nexus. As such, it has grown large and prosperous over the millennia.^[1] It is ruled over by the Raven Lord.

History[]

The Raven Court is set outside Kings Crest, and is generally grim, ruled over by the Raven Lord. The inhabitants of the Raven Court are mostly peasants and farmhands. They are living under the shadow of the Raven Lord, and are not as wealthy as the people of King's Crest. The siege giants of the realm are also poor, and are lucky just to find a bag of rocks.^[2]

The Raven Lord and the Grave Keeper[]

Locked in a struggle for dominance over the little gothic burg with the Raven Lord, the Grave Keeper demands that heroes contribute their might to his endeavor. He manipulated heroes in an effort to gain power in the Haunted Mines. Now he has risen over a dark and mysterious city called Towers of Doom, seeking to annex it into the territories he inhabits within the Nexus.

Grave Warden Malthael made an unholy alliance with the Grave Keeper. With every corpse interred in his mausoleum, the Grave Warden gains power and influence.

The Countess[]

Countess Sarah von Kerrigan was once a noblewoman of Raven Court famous for her bloodthirst. Becoming a vampire after her death, Sarah started a reign of terror as her vampire swarm spread forth from the Forgotten Tower.^[3] The Countess Kerrigan's demands for entertainment mirror the darkness within her.^[4] Her harlequins are masters at manipulating life and death, solely for her amusement. Like most vampires, Countess Kerrigan swear fealty to the Raven Lord.^[5]

The Vampire Slayers[]

A group of survivors (among them, Valla) rose up to resist the creatures and later formed the Vampire Slayers of Raven Court to end the countess' reign.^[6] Doctor Wolf has turned to twisted science in hopes of combating the supernatural abilities of Raven Court's vampires. The serum he has developed is indeed powerful - but it comes with a price. Not all of Raven Court's vampires swear fealty to the Raven Lord, however. The one known only as "V" has launched a solitary crusade against her own kind, making her an unlikely ally of the Vampire Slayers.

Cursed Hollow[]

The province of Cursed Hollow, a gothic landscape of twisting villages and farmlands, serves as an ideal trial grounds for the Heroes of the Storm.^[1]

Haunted Mines[]

Far from the Cursed Hollow, on the very borders of Raven Court, lie the Haunted Mines. Sealed beneath a shadowy graveyard, the undead endlessly clamor to be released from the mines that serve as their earthen prison.^[7]

Towers of Doom[]
