Qhira, Realmless Bounty Hunter, is a Melee Assassin hero, in the Heroes of the Storm universe. A sworn knight and holder of a singularity shard, Qhira's only desire is to seek out others who may have escaped the destruction of her doomed home realm, Iresia. While she searches, she gets by as a bounty hunter--- a job she loathes, despite her exceptional skill.
Background
The ornate orbital sculptures and gilded mega-cities of Iresia were famous across the Nexus for their technological advancement and beauty. But power and prosperity breed conflict. When Iresia's competing factions tore the realm apart, shattering its singularity, the famous warrior known as Qhira had no choice but to flee. Now Qhira roams the Nexus, armed with a segmented chainsword, making a reluctant living as a bounty hunter while she searches for survivors.[1]
Gameplay
Qhira is a brutal Melee Assassin who is adept at both beginning and ending fights.
Prime Targets
Qhira deals significant burst damage, making her very effective at taking down fragile Heroes. Stacking damage and healing with Blood Rage allows her to trade effectively with most enemy Assassins. As befits a solitary bounty hunter, Qhira excels at winning duels.
Battlegrounds
Qhira's powerful hunting capabilities make her especially strong on Battlegrounds that encourage roaming and ganking i.e. Dragonshire, Volskaya, and Infernal Shrines.
Challenging Foes
Every good hunter knows the importance of choosing a good target. Warriors and other Heroes with high health are difficult for Qhira to take down on her own, as are Heroes with strong Stuns and other disruptive abilities.
Hero Synergy
- Anduin – Anduin can follow up Qhira’s engagements by rooting an enemy with Chastise, or pull her out of dangerous situations with Leap of Faith.
- Malfurion – Malfurion's heal-over-time effects help Qhira stay alive even when separated from her team. Qhira can use Revolving Sweep to knock enemies into Malfurion's Entangling Roots.
- Dehaka – Dehaka can dive into enemy lines alongside Qhira and help pull a target out of position.
- Abathur – Qhira is greatly strengthened by Abathur's Symbiote, and can win 1v2 or even 1v3 engagements when timed correctly.

Talents
If Carnage damages the same enemy Hero 3 times, it deals an additional 108 damage and Slows by 25% for 2.5 seconds.
While at maximum stacks, Blood Rage's bleed deals 30% more damage to enemy Heroes below 50% Health.

❢ Reward: After damaging Heroes with Blood Rage's bleed damage 150 times, Blood Rage's duration is increased by 2 seconds.
- Stacks additively with other damage modifiers affecting Qhira's Spell Damage output.
Gain 20% Basic Attack damage. When Qhira Basic Attacks an enemy Hero below 50% Health it deals an additional 20% damage, and she gains 35% Attack Speed for 3 seconds.
- Bonus damage is only dealt and Attack Speed bonus gained (or refreshed) if the target is below 50% Health before the Basic Attack damage itself is done.
- Stacks additively with itself and other offensive damage modifiers affecting Qhira's physical damage output.
Damaging at least 2 Heroes with Blood Rage causes Qhira to Evade the next 4 Heroic Basic Attacks within 12 seconds.
- Also evades Basic Attacks from Summons.
- Triggering the effect while already affected by it resets the Evasion charges and duration.
- Avoids the damage from the Basic Attack, but not necessarily all of its effects. For example Maiev's Umbral Bind will still attach a Tether.
The primary target of Revolving Sweep is Slowed by 60% while Qhira is attached to them. Secondary targets hit by Revolving Sweep's swing are Slowed by 40% for 3 seconds.
Basic Attacking an enemy Hero causes Qhira to gain 10 Armor for 3 seconds. Stacks 3 times.
- Subsequent applications refresh the duration.
- Stacks additively with itself, but not with other positive Armor effects. Other defensive damage modifiers may stack.
Carnage heals for 50% of the damage dealt to enemy Heroes. Anytime Carnage damages an enemy Hero, Qhira’s next Basic Attack within 4 seconds against an enemy Hero deals 15% additional damage, stacking up to 10 times.
- Fully interacts with the bonus damage instance from Maximum Effort.
- Damage bonus stacks additively with itself and other offensive damage modifiers affecting Qhira's Basic Attack damage.
If Blood Rage damages an enemy Hero below 50% Health, it Heals for an additional 190 Health.
- Every Hero below the Health threshold triggers the effect.
- Healing from Healmonger does not benefit from Blood Rage's per Hero bonus.
Damaging an enemy Hero with Revolving Sweep's initial impact or swing causes Qhira to regenerate 96 Health over 4 seconds. Stacks up to 4 times.
Passive: Qhira heals for 20% of her damage dealt by Basic Attacks.
Cooldown: 60 seconds
Deal 44 damage to all nearby enemies every 0.5 seconds for 2.5 seconds as your sword grows outward. Upon expiring, deal 160 damage to all nearby enemy Heroes and Stun them for 1.5 second.
Cooldown: 40 seconds
After 1 second, deal 395 damage to all enemies in a line. This damage is increased by 25% against enemy Heroes below 50% Health.
Carnage's cooldown regenerates 100% faster while an enemy Hero has maximum Blood Rage stacks.
- Does not stack with itself.
- While active, reduces the cooldown of Carnage by 0.0625 seconds every 0.0625 seconds.
Each additional enemy Hero hit by Revolving Sweep causes the primary target to take an additional 135 damage.
Basic Attacking an enemy Hero increases your Basic Attack damage against that Hero by 25% for 4 seconds. Stacks up to 4 times and lasts 4 seconds. Bonus is reset if a different Hero is attacked.
- Stacks additively with itself and other damage modifiers affecting Qhira's physical damage output.
Increase the Stun duration of Revolving Sweep's reactivation by 0.25 seconds. Enemy Heroes around the primary target are also affected by Revolving Sweeps reactivation.
- AoE hit has the same properties as the primary hit.
Enemy Heroes hit by Revolving Sweep or by Grappling Hook have their Armor reduced by 25 for 3 seconds.
- Does not stack with other negative Armor effects. Other defensive damage modifiers may stack.
- Only applies to the initial impact and swing of Revolving Sweep, not the reactivation.
Revolving Sweep's cooldown recharges 250% faster while Qhira is swinging around her target. She also gains 60 Spell Armor for 5 seconds after the re-activation impact.
- Reactivation is not required to gain Spell Armor.
- While active, reduces the cooldown of Revolving Sweep by 0.1562 seconds every 0.0625 seconds.
- Does not stack with other positive Spell Armor effects. Other defensive damage modifiers may stack.
Hitting enemy Heroes with Unrelenting Strikes Silences them for 0.5 seconds and reduces its cooldown by 3 seconds.
Increase the damage to enemy Heroes below 50% Health from 25% to 50%.
If an enemy Hero dies within 1.5 seconds of being hit with Final Strike, then reset the cooldowns of Final Strike and all of Qhira's Basic Abilities.
Grappling Hook's cooldown is reset when hitting an enemy Hero with the initial impact of Revolving Sweep and recharges 900% faster if Qhira hasn't taken damage within the last 2 seconds.
- While active, reduces the cooldown of Grappling Hook by 0.5625 seconds every 0.0625 seconds.
Nearby enemy Heroes below 50% Health are revealed and you gain 20% Movement Speed while an enemy is revealed by you in this way.
Additionally, you deal 20% increased damage to these revealed enemies.

Development
At the end of 2018 the Heroes of the Storm team revealed their first Nexus-original hero, Orphea. In July 2019 Qhira was revealed. Hero Designer Kyle Dates explained her creation: "Even before Orphea had launched, we were excited to explore the idea of other Nexus-born heroes and what that might mean for the game. We started off with a kit design for a hero who wielded a whip-like chainblade that could extend and retract on demand. One of the first ability designs was to extend the blade and attach to enemies, swinging around them in an acrobatic fashion. The idea of this hero moving about the battlefield so dramatically really excited us! There weren’t any Blizzard characters who matched this identity the way we liked so it made a lot of sense to us to deliver this in the form of a new Nexus hero."[2]
Lead Live Designer, Brett Crawford, talked with InvenGlobal about how Qhira came to be and why she was revealed: "We had this really cool idea for a hero with a chainblade who swings around the battlefield, a really flashy hero. We wanted to just bring her in alongside Orphea, but they are not necessarily related, so [her design] was really more focused on the kit and just being a really cool hero rather than having any ties to Orphea." The design team didn't mince words when it came to how Qhira was created. It all starts and ends with the chainblade. As there were no existing characters in the Blizzard universe that rocked the deadly weapon of choice, they decided to create a kit and hero around that. Orphea, on the other hand, was designed first then had a kit built around the concept.[3]
