Nexus Blades [Passive]

Basic Attacks deal 20% more damage and Slow enemy Movement Speed by 20% for 1 second.

Tier 7 (Hero Level 20)

Nexus Blades is a Generic Talent that grants Basic Attacks additional damage and causes them to Slow enemies. It isn't as flashy as other Talent choices as the damage can be hard to notice, but if you need that extra damage at the end of the game or the Slow, e.g. to run down enemies/snowball a fight or to burst down the Core before the enemy respawns, it's a viable option.

Mechanics

Nexus Blades is an attack modifier that causes Basic Attacks Slow enemies. As such, Slow effect from Nexus Blades cannot trigger, if the target Evades the Basic Attack or the attacker is Blinded at the moment of impact.

Damage bonus from Nexus Blades stacks additively with other offensive damage modifiers affecting the Hero's Basic Attack damage.

• Artanis's level 16 Talent, "Blades of a Templar", increases Attack Speed by 20% and makes Basic Attacks Slow enemy Movement Speed by 20% for 1.25 seconds.
• Rexxar's level 20 Talent, "Frenzy of Kalimdor", increases Rexxar's Basic Attack damage by 10% and makes Misha's Basic Attacks Slow by 20% for 1.25 seconds.

Removed

These Heroes no longer have Nexus Blades as a Talent option.

• Stitches's level 4 Talent, "Tenderizer" makes Basic Attacks against Heroes Slow by 25% for 2.5 seconds and heal Stitches for 2% of his maximum Health.
