Li-Ming is a Ranged Assassin Hero from the Diablo universe. Until January 4, 2017, Li-Ming could be obtained for free via the Nexus Challenge.


It’s a generally agreed upon fact of life among the denizens of Sanctuary that wizards and magical mayhem are never far apart. Although she understands people’s concerns, Li-Ming is entirely unapologetic for the destruction in her wake. She delights in unleashing devastating spells on her foes from afar, then teleporting away to frustrate her enemies’ attempts at striking back. Small minds may fear this kind of power, but Li-Ming wields the arcane forces of the universe with confidence and unmatched skill.

Arcane Orb (W)

Cooldown: 8 seconds

Fire an orb that powers up as it travels, dealing 135 (+3% per level) damage to the first enemy hit. The amount of damage dealt is increased the further it travels, up to 405 (+3% per level) damage.

Teleport (E)

Cooldown: 5 seconds

Teleport a short distance instantly.


Critical Mass [Passive]

Getting a Takedown will refresh the cooldown on all of your Abilities.

When Magic Missiles damages an enemy Hero, gain 50 Spell Armor against the next enemy Ability, reducing the damage taken by 50%. Can only gain 1 charge per cast, up to 4 charges maximum.

Astral Presence
Tier 1 (Hero Level 1)

Your Mana regeneration is increased by 100% while below 25% Mana.

Power Hungry
Tier 1 (Hero Level 1)

Regeneration Globes restore 100% more Mana and grant 10% Ability Power for 20 seconds.

Aether Walker
Tier 1 (Hero Level 1)

If you haven't taken damage in the last 5 seconds, Teleport costs no Mana and its cooldown is decreased by 2 seconds.

Takedowns restore 20% of your maximum Health.

Charged Blast
Tier 2 (Hero Level 4)

Basic Attacking a target recently hit by a Magic Missiles does an extra 91 (+4% per level) damage.

If Arcane Orb hits an enemy Hero after traveling at least 50% of its base range, the cooldown is reduced by 50%.

Zei's Vengeance
Tier 3 (Hero Level 7)

Arcane Orb does up to 25% more damage to enemies based on distance. Additionally, its cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.

Glass Cannon
Tier 5 (Hero Level 13)

Increases your Ability Power by 15%, but decreases your maximum Health by 15%.

Tier 6, Hero Level 16

Tier 6 (Hero Level 16)

Drastically increases Magic Missiles speed, and lowers its cooldown by 1 second. Reduces the Mana cost of Magic Missiles by 5.

Arcane Orbit
Tier 6 (Hero Level 16)

Arcane Orb travels 25% farther, doing up to 25% more damage.

Tier 6 (Hero Level 16)

Magic Missiles fires an additional 2 missiles. Increases the Mana cost of Magic Missiles by 5.

Diamond Skin
Tier 6 (Hero Level 16)

When you Teleport, gain 20% of your maximum Health as a Shield for 4 seconds.

Tier 7, Hero Level 20

Tal Rasha's Elements
Tier 7 (Hero Level 20)

Using Abilities grants 5% Ability Power, to a maximum of 20%. This bonus is reset when the same Ability is used within a chain.

Tier 7 (Hero Level 20)

Increases Wave of Force knockback distance by 150% and increases its cast range by 100%.

Temporal Flux
Tier 7 (Hero Level 20)

Disintegrate gradually slows enemies caught in its beam, to a maximum of 60%.

Archon: Pure Power
Tier 7 (Hero Level 20)

Activate to enter Archon form, allowing you to repeatedly use Disintegrate, but be unable to cast other Abilities.

Talent Builds




Auriel can easily fill her energy with allies that have high burst and deal potent area damage. Li-Ming fulfills this role perfectly; with low cooldowns on her abilities, straightforward raw damage and powerful Critical Mass, she can provide energy to Auriel quite fast when under the effects of Bestow Hope.

Li-Ming's high explosive cooldowns makes her a valuable ally to Malfurion. Her lack of crowd control abilities is balanced with Malfurion's Entangling Roots, allowing her to dish out damage. In addition, her very low cooldowns become even lower when affected by Innervate.

Li-Ming's low cooldowns and high spike damage makes her great to abuse Tyrande's Hunter's Mark.

Effective against

Cassia becomes a lightning rod for long-range spell-slingers such as Li-Ming. Her Avoidance grants her amazing survivability against basic attacks, but spell casters honestly couldn't care less. Since Cassia relies on closing gaps, hitting skill-shots, and pouncing on immobile or retreating Heroes, Li-Ming has all the tools to out-play and out-damage the lightning goddess.

Li-Ming’s high mobility and heavy burst combined can be a nightmare for Kel'Thuzad to deal with. She out-pokes him as well and is a large enough threat that if he stands still for any length of time to try to land his abilities, he risks taking heavy damage.

Lúcio is fantastic for long, drawn out fights, but struggles against enemies who can quickly burst their targets down. If even one of Lúcio’s teammates gets too low, Li-Ming can quickly take advantage and kill his entire team before he has the time to bring their Health pools back up.

Nothing is quite as frustrating for a Probius player than the constant loss of his Pylons. Li-Ming has enough range that she can easily kill Pylons almost as soon as they come up, and Probius doesn’t have a great answer to zone Li-Ming away due to her Teleport. She’s a difficult target to hit with Warp Rifts, and Probius’ low Health also makes him a prime kill target for a quick reset, which can dramatically swing the fight in Li-Ming’s favor.
