The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify Administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~
) when posting an issue.
Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:
- This page is for reporting wiki issues. Please post discussions on the talk page.
- Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
- Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding
{{delete|reason for deletion request}}
to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion. - Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comment instead.
- Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
- For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.
In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene. If a user must be reported here, please use {{user}}
, preferably as the topic subject/headline.

Replace "Brawl" tile on main page content section[]
Brawl-mode is no longer in the game, as it was changed to ARAM some while ago. I suggest changing the tile to Game modes, which introduces all (active) modes. - taQtaQ (talk) 21:26, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
Requesting additions to Cargo and skill and talent display css[]
I wanted to make templates for automating listing of ability information (details in discussion page) and for that purpose need to add abilities and talents to cargo. I have declared the table "Skills" in {{Skill-2}}
and want to attach {{Talent table/talent-2}}
to it as well. I do not, however, have the required permissions to create the cargo table, so I'm in need of a bit of help in that regard.
Additionally, I want to add the ability and talent type icons to the top right corner of the panels in the said templates, and the divs should probably be properly added to the wiki css. --Taqx2 (talk) 23:30, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Request for a change[]
Hey, I have done a couple of work here within the last weeks and I want to request two changes, I cannot do:
Can we please remove Heroesnexus from the Frontpage and the Sidebar? The page is dead....resolved- Is it possible to add a template similar to WoWpedias Abilities: Hover above the Abilities with your mouse in a flat text and see the tooltip description? I would do it myself, but I dont know how.
Thank you very much! --LemonBaby (talk) 10:04, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- I tried some things.... but I give up...--LemonBaby (talk) 16:20, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- I know this is more than a year late, but the hover thing would be so cool. Goldernetriever (talk)

Resolved issues[]
Suggestions regarding the new Fandom theme[]
Since the new Fandom desktop is soon going to replace the old themes I decided to take a look already. I like that the original look of the wiki has been preserved, but I would like to see some things changed:
- Can we go back to using sans-serif as the main font family? - To me the new body text font appears kind of fuzzy and is straining my eyes somewhat. Additionally, the font appears to be wider, which doesn't go well with some templates that were adjusted to the old font width, like the hero tile listing on the main page (Brightwing's name tag overlaps with Deckard's).
- Reduce the height between paragraphs - There is less distance to a third level header than to a new paragraph (see Deathwing's page for example), which I find a bit disrupting.
- Adjust visited link color - The visibility is bad, especially on the brighter wikitable background the text is almost indistinguishable. Maybe some shade of purple would do and fit the overall wiki theme.
--Taqx2 (talk) 16:44, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- I'm retracting the first two points, as I do not mind it anymore and with the last matter being adressed, I'm counting this issue resolved. - taQtaQ (talk) 21:00, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
Talents and Abilities not appearing - confirmed from multiple machines and with multiple people.[]
When viewing heroes, their talents and abilities aren't appearing in the browser. Inspecting the HTML source doesn't indicate why they're missing. There are divs in the sections of talents, but no content. Something seems to be going wrong server side. The discussion/history of hero pages doesn't indicate what might be happening.
The data for abilities and talents is still in the data page for each hero. Maybe something has changed about how the wiki is interpreting the markup for these data pages?
I've confirmed across multiple machines, locations (via VPN), and with other players.
- This issue has already been brought to notice. I have contacted the Wiki Manager some days ago and he assured that the issue has been ticketed. At the moment, we can just wait for a response from the support. --Taqx2 (talk) 19:24, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Images failing to display[]
For some reason, after Gamepedia was updated and moved to a differnet server, everything I do on the site is slower. When I upload a new image, the site does not display it immediately, like it has in the past.
Also, not sure if it's a browser thing, but the Emoji auto-complete is broken right now. I had to type this all in on Notepad before I pasted it in the edit area, because the page is crawling each time I type a character on the keyboard. — Rmkane (talk) 17:53, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
Extreme slowness and unreliability when editing[]
So, I have not been editing articles as much as I have in the past, due to the extreme latency of the site. Editing is unbearable and unreliable at times. Just letting you all know. I am sure others have noticed this too. — Rmkane (talk) 18:14, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
Cargo queries needed[]
Since the move from Semantic wiki to Cargo, a couple of pages are "broken." I am not too familliar with Cargo, but I assume it uses a database in the background. I am not sure if I would even know what to query for, if I can't even see the tables.
- The Custom hero count template is currently broken because it is still using Semantic wiki queries instead of an equivalent Cargo query. We just need the query to count the data pages where the incoming query parameters satisfy the data params.
- The Assassin, Specialist, Support and Warrior pages are also broken because of the use of this template as well.
- The Diablo (franchise), Overwatch, StarCraft and Warcraft pages are broken due to the Custom hero tile list template.
- The List of heroes by release date page is broken due to the Custom hero table template.
I have noticed that Pcj has already started working on the Hero infobox template.

Alexstrasza missing from front page[]
Alexstrasza seems to have somehow gone missing from the frontpage support block. Can someone look into this? --taQtaQ (talk) 10:56, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
Request to add a new CSS[]
Hello.
Please, add the following code to the MediaWiki:Common.css:
/***************************** * Undocumented notes styles * ****************************/ .undoc { color: grey; font-size: smaller; }
This is intended to use in {{undoc}}
and {{undoc-x}}
templates which will be used in the future addition of the undocumented notes.
Thanks! Phoe nixx (talk) 22:47, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
Request to add a MediaViewer extension[]
As Phoe nixx suggested: Can we add Extension:MultimediaViewer? Tt works well in WoWpedia and would help users see enlarged version of images without leaving a page. --LemonBaby (talk) 06:07, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
Please change the visited link color[]
Visited links are essentially invisible as the visited link color is the same as the background color, particularly in the dark theme. This is currently making the Wiki extremely difficult to use for almost all users. RexxarMain (talk) 15:14, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
Semantic MediaWiki message[]
The following message pops up every time an edit window is opened:
- This page supports semantic in-text annotations (e.g."World Heritage Site") to build structured and queryable content provided by Semantic MediaWiki. For a comprehensive description on how to use annotations or the #ask parser function, please have a look at the getting started, in-text annotation, or inline queries help page.
Unless this is of use to someone, I'd request for it to be removed. It generally gets a little annoying after the hundredth time, and it's been around for 3 months now. I had the same message/s popping up on Hearthstone Wiki, and Eyes was able to hide them. -- Taohinton (talk) 00:20, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Request for information[]
There has been a user request for information on status effects like blind, stuns, stasis, unstoppable, etc with descriptions. --Alianin 17:18, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
Mechanics[]
Hey, can an admin please change the following things on the front page "Mechanics":
- Change forts to structures
- Add Brawls, Mounts, Cosmetic Items
- Remove Talents. Its a dead end page.
- Remove Watchtowers
- Mabe change the Name into "content"?
Thanks! And maybe add them to the navigation bar on the left side...? --LemonBaby (talk) 08:36, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
Kael'thas file[]
Hi. I was moving File:Kael'thas Cyberhawk 3.jpg to File:Kael'thas Cyberhawk Cyborghawk.jpg as per the new picture naming code. I have no idea what happened, but the file says it's missing now and I can't undo it. Thank you and sorry! --Esjael (talk) 3:33, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- I re-uploaded the file — it appeared to be corrupt. Also, when you move a file, UNCHECK the "Leave a redirect behind" checkbox and make sure you update the pages that linked to the image before. If you do not do this, it will create a maintenance nightmare. — Rmkane (talk) 11:18, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
Auriel Changes[]
Her passive needs to be updated to 50% of damage done, and her level 7 talent bursting light needs to be removed. The numbers also need to be changed for her Q and E initial damage and center/stun damage. Thanks!
Actually, Just update all of the patch note changes for 27.2 — 24.125.200.18 (talk) 22:28, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting us know, I updated the values. If you want, next time, you can visit the Auriel data page (Data:Auriel) and update the values there.
- Also, don't forget to add a signature (
~~~~
) to your comments, so that we can get back to you easily. :) — Thanks, Rmkane (talk) 00:18, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
Interwiki Data[]
Could someone with admin rights update the Interwiki data table to include the Overwatch Wiki and the StarCraft Wiki? It would make linking to these wikis a lot easier. Wowpedia and the Diablo Wiki already have interwiki data, so it's only fair that the other 2 franchises do as well. Besides, if even the Seattle Wiki can have a place on the interwiki table, I don't see why the Starcraft and Overwatch Wikis can't. — MetricTrout (talk) 00:25, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for adding the Overwatch Wiki! Could you add the Starcraft Wikia (Gamepedia doesn't have its own Starcraft Wiki) to the Interwiki table as well? Quite a few pages on this wiki use Template:Sc and it would make using that template a lot more intuitive, without having to add all those underscores. There are already a few other Wikia links in the interwiki table (including, as mentioned above, the Seattle Wiki), so it shouldn't be too technically difficult. — MetricTrout (talk) 23:09, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
Kel'Thuzad hero tile[]
Could someone add Kel'Thuzad to the hero list on the landing page (Heroes of the Storm Wiki)? The page-to-be-edited is here: Heroes of the Storm Wiki/Heroes.
Just add {{Mainpage-Hero tile|Kel'Thuzad}}
after Kael'thas. — Thanks, Rmkane (talk) 10:51, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
[]
First off the interwiki for https://starcraft.gamepedia.com/ would need to be added for an official Gamepedia wiki other than the Wikia one, it just started but it'll be caught up... eventually. Secondly, adding a new section to the sidebar would be great. Here is an example of the sidebar I'm talking about. Pretty much it'll connect all the Blizzard related wikis on the Gamepedia network together. Cheers! Suraf 23:11, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
Weekly Collection Update officially renamed to Heroic Deals[]
Can an admin update the main page?
Change this:
<div class="heading">Current Weekly Collection Update</div> {{:Weekly Collection Update}} </div>
To this:
<div class="heading">Current Heroic Deals</div> {{:Heroic Deals}} </div>
— Thanks, Rmkane (talk) 11:37, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
Category:Legal notices[]
All pages in this category are protected, so the category might as well be protected too.--Xanthipos (talk) 14:07, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
- No. --Pcj 13:33, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
- Why? Is a good reason for protecting those legal notices not a good reason for protecting that category?--Xanthipos (talk) 13:37, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
- I'm sorry for intrusion here, but I figured you need an answer. Wiki maintenance like categories, content pages etc. should be handled by the community. Legal notices are Gamepedia's field of work. There is no harm in changing the category itself as it is not a legal document. One does not equal the other. Frisk (talk) 09:44, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
- Why? Is a good reason for protecting those legal notices not a good reason for protecting that category?--Xanthipos (talk) 13:37, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
I was thinking about the visibility of the category itself.--Xanthipos (talk) 09:59, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
Warrior Template[]
Spent the better part of an hour trying to fix it myself, but the warrior hero template seems to be listing Artanis twice. You can see it on Heroes and StarCraft. --Subsourian (talk) 22:52, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
- This problem has been resolved. Apparently the issue involved a random page break in Data:Artanis. MetricTrout (talk) 16:28, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
Please add Qhira to main page melee assassins[]
Qhira doesn't appear on the main page at all. Please add this hero under Melee Assassins. The page which requires the edit is https://heroesofthestorm.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Heroes_of_the_Storm_Wiki/Heroes and it is under protection from modification by normal users.
This is the new source required:
Regarding Hearthstone Wiki[]
Hello admins of HotS Wiki! I'm one of the admins of Hearthstone Wiki, and I have a request that requires admin actions. For context, Hearthstone Wiki recently moved to wiki.gg, which is now our main, up-to-date wiki. As such, I'm requesting you to do the following:
Go to Special:Interwiki, and edit both the hswiki
and hs
prefixes from https://hearthstone.fandom.com/wiki/$1
to https://hearthstone.wiki.gg/wiki/$1
.
And that's it! Of course, if you're aware of any other places here that link to Hearthstone's Fandom wiki instead of wiki.gg, we'd appreciate updating those too. Thanks for your cooperation! VGhost01 (talk) 23:39, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
