Hero skin themes are a group of Hero skins, which are cosmetic changes that change a Hero's appearance that form part of a shared theme and can be of several types. Connecting to a new world in the Nexus such as those forming part of the lore of Luxoria and Raven Court; creating a new world lore as with the Kaijo world theme; creating an alternative history of one of the main Blizzard Entertainment franchises, Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo and Overwatch or merging characters from one franchise into another. Others might instead form a more loose theme such as those of the World of Warcraft tier, holiday themes, and the pajama theme.

    • Backstory: The infamous cyborg brawler known as Kharazim commands the Onyx Turtles, a hardy alliance of street fighters and gladiators who reluctantly partnered with the Azure Dragons to defy the oppresion of Jigoku Cybernetics.

    • Backstory: Reverse engineered from Overwatch's cyberization techniques, the Jigoku battle armor offers most of the benefits of cybernetic augmentation without requiring invasive surgery.

    • Backstory: Chromie, the leader of the Azure Dragons is an elusive hacker and anti-corporate street artist. Lately, her work has taken a turn for the dark, as if she sees something sinister rising from beneath the city.
