Goliaths & Raven are mercenaries found on Braxis Holdout and Warhead Junction. They first spawn after 1:00 minutes into the game and respawn after 4:00 minutes. The camp does decent damage to structures and heroes.
Gameplay[]
This camp consists of three Goliaths and one Raven. The Goliaths have a fast ranged attack, but do not out range the structures attacks. The raven however, does out range structures as well as periodically sends Seeker Missles to its current target. These missles are locked on and will follow the target until they are hit, or out of range. The Raven is also able to reveal Heroes. Heroes that are revealed by Raven Mercenaries will display the revealed red eye icon over their heads.
Background[]
The goliath combat walker is a terran one-man all-terrain combat walker used to support marine forces. With reverse-jointed legs, the twelve-foot tall goliath features all-terrain maneuverability. To control a goliath, the pilot straps themselves into a "cradle" which enables the goliath to mimic their movements by passing instructions through the onboard computer. The process takes practice to get used to it. The goliath's excellent maneuverability gives it tactical advantages in open terrain, but its versatility gives it an edge even in chaotic urban environments.[1]
The Raven is a terran air unit featured in StarCraft II. It is based on constructing objects. The Terran Dominion initially designed the raven to give low-level protection to its most isolated outposts, but recently the raven has been used in escalating levels of conflict to replace the older and costlier science vessel. Stunning successes in the afforementioned role brought it into more frontline use as a battlefield support unit. Further upgrades and adjustments were implemented, as the ship transitions into a more active role while conflict levels escalated. Many wonder if the "protection" they offer is just an excuse the Dominion uses to spy on its citizens.[2]
